It’s well known that separation and divorce are up there with life’s most stressful events. Even for those who have chosen to split rather than had the decision thrust upon them, a separation entails enormous changes in the way you live, see yourself, and communicate with your ex who very often will continue to be influential in your life.
When a relationship breaks down there will be other people to manage too – children, wider family, colleagues and shared friends; there may well be financial arrangements to work through, often with someone you cannot even talk to without shouting or crying.
I can help you navigate your way through painful and difficult situations, manage and come to terms with grief, shock and anger, and provide you with an opportunity outside your lawyer’s office to help you work out what’s really best for you and the people you care about. My experience in dispute resolution, my work as a family lawyer, my own experience of the breakdown of a long marriage and my particular interest in this type of coaching gives me a unique set of tools to help you navigate your way through this difficult and testing time.
